Seven tabs, in this order.
- Recording: saving audio, where recordings go, default devices and recovery.
- Transcription: speech models and Vocabulary, the names and terms the recognizer should expect. Only the first 224 characters are used.
- Summaries: summary language, model and provider.
- Templates: the built-in ones and yours.
- Usage & exports: Export CSV or Export PDF for the last 7, 30, 90 or 365 days, or Custom dates up to 366 days.
- App preferences: theme, language, notifications, a calendar subscription link and storage locations.
- About: the current app version, Check for updates (runs only when requested), and Open logs folder.
AI providers: the built-in model, Ollama, Claude, OpenAI, Groq or a custom OpenAI-compatible server. Plain HTTP is accepted only for this computer; a remote endpoint must use HTTPS. Keys are kept in Keychain, Credential Manager or Secret Service, never in the application's files. Document translation and Study notes specifically require the built-in local model; document Ask uses the selected provider.

Studio stores its local data in the folders below. Credentials, exported files and material sent to external services are managed separately.
- Library and models:
~/Library/Application Support/com.optiverse-studio.appon macOS and%APPDATA%\com.optiverse-studio.appon Windows. - Recordings: an
optiverse-studio-recordingsfolder in Movies (macOS) or Music (Windows), unless you chose another place. - Logs:
optiverse-studio.login~/Library/Logs/com.optiverse-studio.appon macOS and%LOCALAPPDATA%\com.optiverse-studio.app\logson Windows. Logs record no meeting content. - To back up, quit from the menu-bar or tray icon (closing the window only hides it), then copy the library folder, the recordings folder and your templates.
- To remove everything on Windows, tick Also delete settings, Library and downloaded models in the uninstaller; recordings are kept. On macOS, delete those folders and the saved keys.
- No system audio on a Mac: open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, allow OptiVerse Studio, then run Check capture again.
- Playback silent or stuck: use Reload audio, which keeps your position and speed. Bluetooth output can distort playback; switch outputs if a recording sounds rough.
- No live summary on Windows: the card on Home names the reason, such as no supported graphics card, not enough memory, or the recommended models missing.
- A summary stopped at the model's output limit: try a shorter template or another model. The previous summary is kept.
- A summary was not saved because details lacked transcript support: regenerate it. Checks help identify unsupported details; verify important content against the transcript and recording.
- Recording is blocked: the transcription model is not installed. Download it from the model menu.
- Nothing was transcribed, or disk space is low: the application says so when you stop. Check the microphone level and free some space.
